I really appreciated the movie“Yip Man” which I saw in 2008. It is based around martial arts and some Chinese history in 18th century. This is an action movie and the main character is Donnie Yen (Yip Man). He’s the main character in the movie and he uses martial arts.
The movie is set in 18th
century Foshan, China. Yip Man lives with his wife and his son. He is good at
Wing Tsun Martial-Art and he is famous in Foshan, China, so sometimes people
will go and learn from him. One day, Japanese general came and he brings a lot
of soldiers to occupy Foshan. Many people died because they had no food. The
Japanese general knew Foshan was famous for martial arts and he set up a fight.
Yip Man used his hand to arouse the solidarity heart of the Chinese people.
This movie’s main star is Donnie Yen (Yip Man). He was born in 1950 and he loves Wing Tsun Martial-Art. The movie it very good to see because is shows some Chinese history and it gives some good message to people today, such as work hard and believe in yourselves. Donnie Yen (Yip Man) is a convincing actor because people love to see how he uses martial arts. This movie is quite interesting because you can see many different types martial arts and some parts are fun. I loved every part of this movie, so I strongly recommend everyone to see it and they can learn some history from this movie.
